Dream Flights

Sunset Flight

Inspect your aircraft and learn why airplanes work and how to operate them.  Pull out your checklist and with your certificated flight instructor helping, start the engine.  Taxi out to the runway, and your instructor shows you how to set-up the aircraft for flight.  Pull on to the runway, add power and slowly pull up the nose.  You just took off in a plane, and you made it happen!
Depart and head due west.  See the Queen Mary, The LA & Long Beach Ports, and Torrance off your left.  Smoothly turn your aircraft to the right and fly directly over Los Angeles International Airport.  Descend smoothly around the Santa Monica Pier and head east next to the hills.  Fly by the Getty Center before going over Culver City, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood.
As the Hollywood Sign goes by on the left look ahead to the Griffith Park Observatory.  Slowly bank the plane to the right and use your navigation skills to follow the 5 freeway by Dodger Stadium, Downtown LA, the Staples Center on your way back east.  Find the LA river and turn your plane southbound towards the ocean.
As the sun sets into the Pacific Ocean, you gently glide your plane into a perfect landing with the instructor's help....
